Today Rich Smith placed the first posting in a new category, Upcoming Events, an invitation to the Shrimp Fest Breakfast. From now on this should be the place to see what’s going on at St. Peter’s. As events occur, they will be reported in the Past Events category.
Today we added a new category to the blog portion of our web site, Past Events. This really should be entitled Recent and Past Events, but we wanted to keep the category name short. The first event reported upon is the Early Christian Meal.
Blogging is the latest craze on the internet. Blog sites make use of databases where postings to the sites are stored. Most bloggers allow visitors to make comments regarding what they have posted.
The technology used for blogs is useful for other purposes. In our case we are going to use it to post the vestry minutes and the monthly letters our rector and associate rector place in the Epistle of St. Peter’s (ESP). Considering the nature of our web site comments by visitors will not be allowed. Today I have added the March Vestry Minutes. More to come!
