Fr. George Young opened the meeting at 6:35 p.m. following phone calls to absent members to achieve a quorum. Present: Rev. Elizabeth Tappe, Toby Atkinson, Ginger Mock, Jeri Kolke, Bill Dickson, Bert Jenkins, Gary Bong, John Dyal, Early McCall, Vann Simmons and guests Joe Crim and Tom Basore. Fr. George Young opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. following an hour of new Vestry orientation discussions. Present: Rev. Elizabeth Tappe, Toby Atkinson, Ginger Mock, Cheryl Smith, Bert Jenkins, Gary Bong, John Dyal, Ben Stephens, and guest Jean Buatti. Absent: Jeri Kolke, April Davis, Bill Dickson, Early McCAll, and Vann Simmons.

Dear fellow pilgrims,

Becky Kaufmann shared a book with me called Dangerous Wonder, by Mike Yaconelli. The subtitle is “The Adventure of Childlike Faith”, and I wonder how “childlike” the following quotes seem to you. First he quotes Episcopal priest Robert Capon (a favorite theologian of mine), “We are in a war between dullness and astonishment”. Hmm, read on.
