Wizards and Wonders, a Hero’s Journey with Harry Potter
This was more than Vacation Bible School for the kids, it was a
SUMMER CHRISTIAN FORMATION INTERGENERATIONAL EVENT
This summer evening/weekend event was for everyone wishing to participate in a journey through the life of fictional character Harry Potter. All sessions included a meal in the Great Hall of Hogwarts’ School. We were be “sorted” into one of four “houses” by the Sorting Hat and received “owl mail” during each meal.
We met Harry, Ron & Hermione, and the professors: Dumbledore, McGonnagall, Hooch & Snape. Rode on the Hogwarts’ Express, played an incredible game called “Quidditch” and looked into the Mirror of Erised for our deepest desire. All children were accompanied by an adult, and adults came without children.
