The Journey to Adulthood

The Journey to Adulthood balances Bible study, prayer, and both serious and playful activiities to nurture the whole person during the difficult passage from childhood to adulthood. Leaders model living the faith and remind young people of the ever-present love and mercy of God. The goal of The Journey to Adulthood is to form youth as fully participating members.

Wednesdays for ALL  6:00-7:30 p.m.

The Journey to Adulthood (J2A) program, including RITE-13 and now the J2A class, moved to Wednesday Evenings in the fall of 2008 when we offered Our Whole Lives / Sexuality & Faith (OWL), an abstinence-based curriculum. We feel OWL is a wholesome way for church leaders to partner with parents, the primary sexual educators; most parents are happy to have help in this area. We will offer the 7th and 8th grade OWL in 2010-11, plus another class for 5th and 6th graders at that time. The High School OWL won’t be offered again until 2011-12 after the J2A Pilgrimage. For more information, contact the parish office.

.Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)

Sunday Night EYC 4:00-7:00: There are two groups, a middle school (6th-8th graders) gathering from 4:00-5:00 and a high school (9th-12th graders) gathering from 5:30-7:00 with a shared meal between the two groups from 5:00-5:30. All are invited to join us and bring a friend or two or seven. We always have a variety of fun activities going on Sunday nights at EYC. Fun with a purpose is what we are all about. Dinner, games, music, discussions, movies, guest speakers, and lots of other activities are planned. We are also planning big trips to go skiing and looking into an intense mission trip for next summer. So come, bring friends … we can’t wait to see you!
